Knitting Level Up: Hats

Today's topic is hats!  Even though I rarely wear hats, I like making them as gifts.  I'm only going to mention knitted ones here, although I've done a couple crochet ones recently as well.

There are a couple hats I made recently but don't have pictures of yet...so I guess those will come in a later post!

Sorry for the terrible selfies in this post!  These are all a bit old & taken in terrible lighting, my newer ones are better (but the last one is only a few months old, so take that as you will 😉).

Started these yesterday and making good progress!  The colorwork is such a pain though...

My first (adult) knitted socks!

via Instagram

I made these as a birthday present for my dad's 70th!  Not perfect (I ran out of the blue yarn), but I'm pretty happy!

#BigBadBergAlong progress!

via Instagram

Finally working on my Big-Bad-Berg-Along again since I finished my dad's socks. Still a long way to go though!  I'm pretty glad most podcasts have extended til the end of the month.

I'm making the Oceanbound shawl by Melanie Berg!

Happy 50th anniversary to my campus!

via Instagram

Hi, non-existent readers!  I decided to revive this blog rather than creating a new one - why let a perfectly fine blog go to waste?  ;)  It's been three years, but I have definitely not been on a crafting hiatus.  My plan right now is to feature some of my projects over the past few years, just to get back in the swing of blogging - but let's be real, I was never actually in the swing of it!  Hopefully, I can use this as a jumpstart to put things up in my Etsy shop again, but we'll see about that later.

In the meantime, I'm testing out IFTTT, which is currently auto-sharing my instagram photos to this blog.  Not sure how I feel about it yet!  These photos are from the campus of the research lab I work at.
