First cast off of 2020! I finished this shawl recently, and it's not big, but it somehow took an entire year? It was definitely because of the beading - which you probably can't see at all, because they're the exact color of the yarn 😂 Pattern: #Rialha by Audrey @yarnflakes Yarn: @dreamincoloryarn September 2018 pop up! Happy new year! I've been itching to make one of @aoibheni's awesome Tunisian crochet designs for a while now and the #aoibheniCAL is the perfect time, so this will be my first new project of the year. I'm a little late on week one's prompt but I'm planning to make #DeDanann in this @oinkpigments lace I picked up at their @knitlocally trunk show a few months back. Have you checked out the Tree Ring Tee by @daniknitsthings yet?? (check her profile for the link!) I test knit the pattern for her, and although it's her first design, it's straightforward and easy to follow. It would be a great first sweater that won't bore you! Also, it uses way less yarn than you'd think - under two skeins for me, though I did 3/4 sleeves - and it's fun to mix and match from your stash! First time wearing my freshly-blocked #MyBoyLollipop out and about! Please ignore how wrinkled my dress is 😂 I think I knit an extra half-inch of ribbing to use up more yarn, but I'm not sure it was needed. I did do the slip stitch edging around the neckline and I think it helped a lot, it sits fine after the blocking . Next time I would definitely do a longer neckline though. Designer @gettingpurlywithit Yarn from @lanasgatonegro, @lornaslaces, @missbabsyarns (only leftovers for the gray and teal!) About 350m more for #stashdash2019! #MagpieTendency by @skeinanigans is finished & blocked! 🧡💙 I used @bumblebeeacresfarm's Sansa colorway with some leftover gray for contrast, and I knit just a few rows longer than called for but I have a ton of yarn left. Maybe enough for shorty socks?
